Terms & Conditions

"Platform" refers to the Shaqogoob website, mobile application, and all associated services.

"User" refers to any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Platform, including job seekers and employers.

"Job Seeker" refers to individuals who use the Platform to search for employment opportunities.

"Employer" refers to companies or individuals who use the Platform to post job listings and find candidates.

"Content" refers to any text, data, images, files, or other material submitted to or displayed on the Platform.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Shaqogoob. By creating an account, you represent that you are of legal age and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

Employers must be legally registered businesses or individuals authorised to hire. Posting fraudulent, misleading, or non-existent job listings is strictly prohibited.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

You may not transfer your account to another person. Each person or entity may maintain only one account. Shaqogoob reserves the right to terminate duplicate accounts.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we believe are being used fraudulently.

For Employers. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of your job listings. Listings must describe genuine, available positions. You must not discriminate on grounds of gender, age, religion, ethnicity, disability, or any other protected characteristic.

For Job Seekers. You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile, resume, and application materials. Providing false information may result in immediate account termination and disqualification from the position.

Shaqogoob does not guarantee employment or the accuracy of listings and is not party to any employment agreement between a job seeker and employer.

You agree not to use the Platform to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Scrape, harvest, or extract data without our written consent
• Distribute spam, malware, or unsolicited communications
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform
• Use automated tools to submit applications or interact with listings
• Post content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law

Users may submit reviews of employers. By submitting a review, you confirm it reflects your genuine experience and does not contain false statements, offensive language, or confidential information.

Shaqogoob reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms or that are reported by other users and found to be inappropriate. We do not verify the accuracy of reviews but may remove flagged content at our discretion.

By submitting content, you grant Shaqogoob a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and distribute that content on the Platform.

Certain features — including job postings, featured listings, and employer subscriptions — require payment. All fees are stated in USD and processed via WaafiPay.

Subscription fees are billed in advance. Refunds are provided only where required by applicable law or at Shaqogoob's sole discretion. Credits for job postings are non-transferable and expire as stated at the time of purchase.

We reserve the right to change pricing at any time with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

All content on the Platform created by Shaqogoob — including the logo, design, software, and written materials — is our exclusive property and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Shaqogoob makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Platform's availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

We do not endorse any employer, job listing, candidate, or third-party content displayed on the Platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shaqogoob shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform — including loss of earnings, loss of data, or business interruption.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold Shaqogoob and its affiliates, officers, and employees harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your Content, or your violation of these Terms.

You may delete your account at any time through the account settings. Shaqogoob may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by prominent notice on the Platform at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Somalia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mogadishu, Somalia.
